Wrestling with the Holy One

Torah Portion Genesis 32:3-36:13 • Rabbi Levine challenges each individual to have their personal encounter with God. Yakov, or Jacob was "the Heel-Catcher", he grabbed his brother's heal to try and be the first born, a conniver, and a deceiver. God desired Jacob to be much more, so when Jacob sent his family and possessions over the river there was a wrestling match with Jacob alone with God. To be a blessed community, we have to be blessed individuals.
