PURIM FESTIVAL
Saturday Night – 6:00 PM
February 27th

Our annual event is for “children of all ages”. As always, this event is open to the public. There will be a Purim Play, games and prizes, food, costume contests and fun, fun, fun. Participants are all encouraged to come in costume - biblical, funny, or just plain crazy!

There will even be a special teachers’ costume contest for all of the teachers in the Education Department. This year, give everyone an opportunity to use their “graggers” (noise makers) to blot out the name of the evil Haman.

Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. It commemorates a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination, from the evil Haman. The story is told in the Book of Esther in the Tenach (Old Testament). The Hebrew word "Purim" means "lots" and refers to the lottery that Haman used to choose the date for the massacre.

An old Jewish saying:
“They tried to kill us……we won……let’s eat!”

welcome

We hope your visit to our web site will be a positive and memorable experience.

By way of introduction, we would like to try to inform you concerning some of the details of our service that are a little different from what you might be accustomed to.

As a Messianic Jewish synagogue, we celebrate the Messiah Yeshua and the Judaism He represented, where the principles of Torah and the rest of God’s Word are observed from the heart - not merely from the head. Since we believe this is a Jewish faith for the whole world, we welcome everyone who seeks to better understand Messiah, and connect with the Jewish roots of their faith. The Jewish Prophet Isaiah spoke the heart of Adonai when he said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

At Kol Mashiach, we are a synagogue with no second class citizens!
